From the Artfully Wilde Facebook page:
Artfully Wilde began as a home show organized by a jeweler and basket maker in Columbia, Maryland. Her idea was to invite fellow artists and their customers to a grand party and sale of unique art and craft. In 1993 she moved the popular and growing show to Slayton House, Wilde Lake, Columbia and called it Wilde and Wonderful.
In 2001 the current organizers volunteered to continue the show, using a new name, Artfully Wilde. This loyally attended show continues to grow and change each year. This year we will have seven new artists, as well as twenty-three returning ones.
Location is 10400 Cross Fox Lane, Slayton House, Wilde Lake Village Center, Columbia, Maryland 21044.
Gala Friday night reception with music, wine, food.
Free admission.
Artfully Wilde is a show organized by artists, for artists. Resembling a temporary retail store, the setup forgoes the individual booth spaces. Instead the work of all artists is collectively displayed in an integrated and merchandised manner.
Artists are on hand at all times to assist the public with items, questions and completing their purchases.
Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.

Cashmere Scarves - A Preview
One of our favorite materials to work with is cashmere. It's soft, luxurious, regal, and usually felts fairly well. Finding the perfect cashmere sweater to 'transform,' is like finding gold. Looking through numerous 'forgotten' sweaters, you will know when we find cashmere by the high-pitched squeals of delight and euphoria that spontaneously come from our mouths! "Oooooh....Cass....look at this one!!!!" "AAAHHH!!!! Perfect!!!! Check this one out!!!!!" Naturally, we are completely oblivious to the stares of concerned citizens as they assume these two old ladies are about to collapse from overexertion these two young divas must have just found a million dollars. Anyway, when we find the perfect cashmere, the creative cogs start going into overdrive.
We are working on some exciting new designs and styles! Here's a sneak peak....
Doesn't look like much, does it? Check back to see the final products!

Stockings
Now that fall is here, we have been working around the clock on all of our winter accessories. One of the most fun to make are holiday stockings! The idea that each stocking we create could become an heirloom, a memory, a symbol of the magic of Christmas, passed down from generation to generation, makes the task of creating so much more exciting and enjoyable!
There are only 90 days until Christmas...and we will be sewing on each and every one!

The Bucket Tote
Made from repurposing and reconstructing a dynamic cotton sweater, the Bucket Tote is perfect for everyday use, or on occasions when you have a little more to carry than usual. The Bucket Tote is full lined, and offers a long strap for easy carrying, as well as a structured bottom to hold it's shape. Perfect for any season, we could all use a Bucket Tote in our bag collection!

Gauntlets
Gauntlet. Sounds like a medieval torture device, right? Or a brutal obstacle course? But a gauntlet is actually a type of glove that goes over the wrist, dating back to medieval times (you can check with Merriam Webster if you don't believe us). We are assuming you don't wear your chair-link armor on a regular basis, so we have taken it upon ourselves to bring the gauntlet into the 21st century. From casual to formal, our gauntlets are more than versatile, and can be worn from early fall well into the dead of winter! Free your fingers....wear gauntlets.

Materials
We are constantly on the hunt for materials for our creations. From wool to cashmere to faux fur to leather, we are always on the prowl in closets, shops, consignment stores, estate sales, and antique dealers. Nothing gives us more joy than seeing the potential in a discarded wool sweater or belt with a broken buckle -- you might see holes and pulls; we see a vibrant red holiday stocking. You might see a broken, useless belt; we see purse straps. We are passionate about 'upcycling' and 'repurposing' already existing items in order to create beauty while lessening our carbon footprint.
Oh how we love oogling materials ready for transformation!
